making too much noise!!!!

i have 1 week old ducklings ('scovie) that are peeping constantly..ive checked temp (its at 85) they have space to get away if its too warm, food (crumbles) water........what am i missing? they are making so much noise day and night that hubby is threatening to evict them (oh no!)


any help or advice would be brilliant!

Umm... Ducklings are always loud, and always peeping. Mine always peeped constantly unless they were sleeping... Now it's just quaking constantly.

Gee spish........ I have two scovies at the moment and I hardly even know they are here since they are so quite. The first was on its own for two week- and even then it was a quiet one- much to my surprise.

I have found the scovies are generally much quieter than other breeds I have had, I swear sometimes the windows rattle in the frames when my runners really get started up.

Maybe you can give them some kind of rope or thick string to chew on, something they can't fray too much or chew through. only do this if you can find a place to secure it so they won't eat it. Maybe this will keep them busy for a while.
