Hi all. This morning all 12 of my eggs hatched in the incubator. They all seemed to develop normal early on. 2 of them were mal-positioned and I assumed they were not going to make it. Surprisingly, all 12 were out of their shells this morning. I have one that is very tiny but is holding their own with the rest. Another I had transfer into another safe warm place. This poor chick isn’t standing, just lying on his side. It is trying to get up, but can’t. Its stomach is distended and it looks as though the umbilical area is not developed. At this point I know my options are limited. We as a family are heartbroken. I’ve worked with animals my whole life. It never gets easier and it’s always so much worse when they are in your care. My six year old who has been nursing this poor chick is devastated and if I have to let it go, I’d like to do it before she wakes in the morning. Any suggestions on how to proceed or what I should do next would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry :hugs
I had a keet hatch like that. It didn't make it through the night :(
I wish I knew how to help you but I don't. I'm afraid that there's nothing you can do.
