Malay Chick Growth Thread

Hello friends, this is where we can watch the peeps I hatched grow up.

I'll do weekly updates, if I get a day that'll cooperate with me.


Here's the chicks I sexed, & hopefully I'm right about gender.

A couple of the chicks are about 2-3 days old, a couple are a day old, & a couple are just hours old from last night.

Just curious, (might be planning trips so it is just worth a shot) if you have extra males you get rid of (hoping you don't but worth a shot again) when will you be getting rid of them?

The chick with crooked toes, also apparently has an underdeveloped eye on its left, on the same side of the crooked toes are.

I wonder if the power outage had something to do with that at the beginning of the incubation period.

The chickies go to the brooder today, which is good.

They're all settled in the brooder. Had to pick up fresh chick feed, the stuff I bought ahead of time went stale, & I don't want it molding.
