My friend (enabler) brought me another 30 serama eggs today...I had to move some to the hatcher early to make room for these since the incubator is still full!

14 (15?) serama eggs are due to hatch on Tuesday, so at least they didn't get moved too early!

does anyone ever use a brinsea octagon ?i want to get one but i want to know if anyone has ever hatched out seramas in one.thanks.everyone is so full of knowledge.Remember:a day with out learning is a day wasted.

I have the Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco.. I'll let you know.. I usually use it for my purebreed/harder to hatch eggs.. Sooo.. It has 18 Coronation Sussex in it and tomorrow I'll be adding 9 Seramas

I need to stay away from this thread--it makes me want even MORE seramas!

I'm stopping adding to my flock for now, though, so I must resist and just look. Restraint is hard with something as wonderful as seramas!

I'm thinking of trying not to get much more of other breeds, and as time goes on focus more and more on seramas. They're just so great--they're the perfect breed for me!

I'm also reducing my flock and focusing mostly on my serama and OEGB, with a little emphasis on cochin bantams, silkies, and japanese.

We have similar tastes in breeds! I love my flock of many breeds, I really do, but I just can't seem to get enough of the seramas. I won't sell my non-seramas or anything, I love them all too much and they're my pets/friends, but when birds pass away naturally of old age instead of getting more of their breed I think the space will just become more serama territory.

I have a few of my 'old girls' that I'm keeping, but most of the rest are going to auction. I'm on a very limited income and just don't have the resources needed to keep all these birds. Luckily, I think I've decided to keep at least one of my LF breeds, so my 'old girls' will at least have someone to watch over them

Honestly, if the silkies weren't my son's I'd be letting them go too, but unfortunately that little man has me wrapped around his finger and I hate to make him sad
