Five hatched within half an hour earlier this evening. They started pipping and popping out like popcorn, lol.
They are nearly identical in down with similar color and striping. We'll see if they change any in the next couple of days. It's amazing how the down changes in looks when it's totally dry and fluffy. Several more to go, all are pipped, looking like a 90% hatch rate on this batch. So far, none of these are a really unusual color down, hoping for more chocolate.

I'm so envious of everyone who is hatching Serama babies!

We've been having having storms the last few days and last night the power flashed on and off for about 3 hours and the eggs had to chill out (not really) in the oven and I think they may have gotten a wee bit hot. Anyway, none have hatched and I'm getting very discouraged!

You need to invest in a battery back up. It's the kind you would buy for a computer. It's also a surge protector as well and would keep an incubator running for hours. They're less than $100 now, a small price to pay to save an entire hatch. Mine is one one and there's never even a blink when the power goes out here.

All mine hatched but one, 9 of 10 eggs. I'm very pleased and anxious to see what the colors of these last ones are going to be. One of Truffles looks black but so did the one that turned out to be chocolate. There is one yellow with chipmunk stripes and the others are pretty much the same in appearance at this point.

Sunny California, Wayyyy to go! Congrats! Looking forward to photo's. I'll post some too when these chicks are dry and fluffy. These guys hatched so rapidly that I'm not going to be able to keep track of which are T-Roos and which are Blu's. The next hatches I have set to be all T's and then all Blu's so that should start making things a little easier. It's not essential but I do prefer to know which is which,

Hard to complain with such a good hatch, oh well
