and both are not posing just to show you what color they are turning into so you can get an idea ....

Bad seremas bad!!! Stop growing. No more food for them. Lol.

I knew Swayze was pretty big. He's not stand well either. He prefers to stretch out and nap on my lap. Such a goober. Oh well! I guess this means they should produce better though if they are not too small.

This is off the SCNA site, I believe in showing they allow for 20% difference either way.

The size you want to be trying to breed for in American Serama are:

16 oz Cock, 14 oz Hen, 14 oz Cockerel and 12 oz Pullet

It has been a good weekend here.
I sold enough in chickens to purchase at least one nice pair of Seramas.
Funny how sometomes things just work out.
Had a guy call yesterday that got my number through the grapevine.
He bought every started RIR I had plus some young laying hens,
The day before I sold a couple dozen expensive hatching eggs,
a Serama pair and 5 chicks............
I am so excited.
Now I feel like I can get serious....

We've had a couple of storms lately, so the weather's not overly oppressive today. I just let my new broodies out for the chicks' first day on the town. Lark's two chicks are about a week old, and at least one of them is hers. The other one is either hers or her sister, Aria's.

This is Aria with her chick, about a week older than the other two. She was in a pen alone, but I'm letting her and her little wheaten play with the old gang today. If all goes well, I'll set up food and water at chick height and let everyone hang out together tonight.
