Liz!! Hey!!!
Winter sucks, huh? I was sooooooo tired of dealing with frozen waterers this year, I thought I would die! I got a bit more frostbite on the combs this year too. Did I mention that I dont like winter? Oh yeah. It sucks! Drumstick is a way cute name though. I want some close up pics to check it out. She gets around OK though? Never lost a toe, but Im more southern than you, so you get WORSE winter. Ugh. Im over it! YAY FOR SPRING!
Im sure you were not giving misinformation! lol
Ive seen some posts and have been sending people to you, lol... so If you get a lot of PM's with questionnaires, yeah, thats my fault. Hee hee.

I just got bombarded with emails about selling birds. So I must run and get outside and get my coops clean and re-arrange birds and take inventory and get my breeding book out and figure out the plan for this year. My plan had been mostly bust ice and fill feeders and waterers and keeping 100 chicks alive.... so Im a bit behind schedule. I raised a LOT of birds with Patrick this winter. Now I have to go sort them!

OH!!!!!!!
AND A HORSE! What did you get? I must have pictures! Congrats, you should bring it here for the Festival of the Horse, you can stay here! Just need a truck and trailer tho... Hmmm.......

Some of my Serama's are finally getting old enough to ship so I'll be posting one here and there in the classifieds section here. I play with them all the time so they're really tame

One little roo will stand in the palm of my hand and crow his heart out. I had a family here to trade some Marans a couple days ago and this smart little rooster crowed when I told him to, right on cue.

I have one rooster that is black with some leackage (?) not sure what leakage is but he's not 100% black. I don't know if he would benefit anyone's breeding program. Hatched Jan 23rd and weighs in now at 7.8 ounces.

His chick down was more like a chocolate chick so I don't know how he turned out this color. Here he is in chick down at 4 days old.

Here are a couple that I'm keeping for myself. The little pullet is adorable, she's not a flashy color but she's so interesting. I can't wait to see her more mature.

And, here is my little roo that will stand in the palm of my hand and crow for me. He also loves to fly up and sit on my shoulder. I just Love this little fella. He will go to anyone and I think he would do well in show if he continues to mature as nice as I think he can. He puts on a chow whenever I have people here to see him. He was hatched Jan 23rd and just weighs 5.4 ounces. My husband has a set of scales that he uses for work to weigh freon gas so it's extremely sensitive and right on. It weighs in pounds and also kilograms.

Green River poultry show was yesterday! Not a big turnout. Three in youth, and nine in open. My Cannonball won BB, and Tyler's Troubador took RB in the ABA show, and Tyler cleaned up in the Serama pageant. Only one bird scored less than a 70. Congrats, guys!

Okay, Jessi, whenyou catch up on everything, I want to talk whites with you. Maybe you can bring some to share at the Kentuckiana show?

Everyone of you have great pics of beautiful birds. I have 2 hens. Hopefully I will get a roo soon. I so want babies. If any of you know where I can get a roo please pm me. I will post pics. Of my hens soon.

Haha, how many you want? As most breeders will tell you, "you only want a roo? God bless you!" Actually, I only have one for sale right now. I'm looking into getting a real incubator so I'm not left with dozens of fully formed dead chicks every 19 days, so I'll have more in the future. PM me if you like him.....

His comb is fully upright at this time.

You can just about pick a color and find a roo for sale

I have 3 for sale now, the black roo is the older of the 3. The other 2 are not feathered out or big enough to ship yet. I'd get an older rooster so you can be sure whether he's an A, B or C. What sizes are your hens? What colors? Are you wanting a particular color?
