I finally took some pics today. Please excuse the mess. I didnt get to scrub or hose anything all winter, and Im in the process of moving the birds back to their tractors for grass so I can scrub cages.

Oh, and I quickly snapped these as I was moving them outside, so there are a lot of nervous birds--didnt even try to get any to pose, so what you see may not be them at their best, plus most are young birds. Ill get the good pics later! lol

A sale pen.... trying to keep all red earlobes here, some of these are show winners that have a bit of white in them..so I may keep some? Im working on getting them all moved and sorted and recorded. Its a lot of work! lol

Might sell these too. I havnt had a chance to look at them really. Young pullets
SpringSeramapics056.jpg

My fave young cockerel..well one of them. No name, but I think Ill breed him to these frizzled pullets. I think he will fill out nicely!

This is Tyson. Hes not the most extreme bird I have, but his babies are CRAZY typey. **Thank you record book** for keeping up with all that from last year!

I really like this pullet. I think she will fill out more this year and be really nice.

These are my boys that were cockerels in the fall. Turu is the one with the more white--hes a show winner! Doesnt look like it now, though. The darker one is nameless, not sure if I want to keep him yet. I have all winter, so I might have to..Im attached. They are getting bathed and plucked a bit this week. This is the pen that I really need to scrub when they move--- Boys are messy, what can I say? lol

This is my young cockerel pen. We call them the "boys choir" because they are noisy! lol
They just moved to grass today! I love birds on grass. Not sure what Im doing with these yet. Maybe selling them? Hmmm....

(You can see part of a "real" chicken in the background. Crazy how small the boys look, huh?
SpringSeramapics007.jpg

These are the babies. I just brought them home from Patrick's house. Colors are indicators of breeding pens. I think that Im keeping most of the colored ones to see what they look like in the fall. Might sell one of the colored hens, and the whites. I have lots of whites this year.

See? More whites. All pullets in with Typhon the frizzle.

Awww.... great pics everyone! Such beautiful birds.... :lov

I need to get some pics of my babies - nearly six months old, and I'm still waiting on two of four girls to start laying. Grrr.... on the other hand, I have a girl on the nest with five, maybe six, fertile eggs under her. And it was so cool - today is day 3, and I could swear, while I was candling them today, that I saw a tiny nascent beating heart in one. The miracle of life is SO awesome!
