Serama
Sale- Read before shopping
smile.png

I have decided to seriously downsize my flock of serama, and as a result, I will be selling much of my frizzled flock. I was going to wait until fall to offer these birds, and give them a chance to mature a bit more, but I decided that I can probably get a few pair sold and shipped before the weather gets in the 90's. If you feel it is too hot to ship, and would rather wait until fall to get your birds, but would like to ensure you get your birds before somebody else does, consider this a presale where you can reserve your birds. NOTE: If I feel it gets to the point where it is too hot to ship, I will no longer allow that option. This is how this is going to go:

1. Click the Photobucket link here [ http://s861.photobucket.com/albums/ab171/serama-for-sale/Serama for sale/?start=0 ]. In this particular album are pictures of every bird I currently have for sale. Each picture is titled by the bird's band number and its price. Check periodically if you do not see anything you like at first because I will be adding better pictures of the birds as they are taken and will possibly be offering additional birds for sale. Pictures of birds are not in order and you may find more pics of the same bird on a different page in this album. If you see a bird that catches your eye, but would like to see more pictures, PLEASE feel free to ask me about it and I will be more than happy to take additional pictures, videos, and more. If you need to contact me about a certain question you have regarding the sale of my birds, my email is [email protected]

2. Choose the birds you want to buy and send me an email (above) letting me know which bird you want. Since for the most part this is a presale, understand that prices and availability will be changing periodically. I may decide to offer more birds for sale, take a bird off the market, or change the price of a particular bird at any time. Since these are serama and they are still maturing, I expect some birds to surprise me and to improve in type as they fill out and age. Therefore, I may decide to increase the price of a bird at any time, I also may decrease a price if I am having trouble selling a particular bird. For these reasons, it may be a smart idea to reserve the birds you want. Once you reserve your birds, I will mark them as sold and will not change the price on them anymore. So if you reserve a bird that I have for sale for 40.00$, and it fills out and improves in type before you actually buy it, I will not raise the price. This is why I recommend reserving your birds and is why I am offering a presale in the first place. As I stated before, if you have any questions about reserving a bird or would like to see more pictures before you commit, please email or call using the contact information above.

3. Reserve your birds. If it gets to the point where I feel it is too warm to ship birds safely or you feel that is too hot to ship, I can reserve your birds until the weather cools in the fall. To reserve a bird, I will need 20$ up front per pair of birds you want to reserve. Once it comes time to buy your birds in full, this 20$ fee will be credited to your final total. For example, let's say you reserve a pair that costs a total of 80.00$, you would pay a reservation fee of 20.00$, and once it came time to buy your birds, you would only owe 60.00$. A. If for some reason you decide you no longer want the birds, your reservation fee will not be refunded! B. If for some reason I am unable to fill your order (ex: your bird dies) I will refund your reservation fee or give you a credit to pick out a new bird. Birds are reserved upon arrival of payment. I will accept PayPal or checks. I will disclose where to send money via email. If your payment is pending, I will list the birds as pending.

4. Due to an excess of roosters, you must buy your birds in M/F pairs. Until further notice, I have just the right ratio of hens to roosters to sell all my birds in pairs. If I am able to sell roosters without hens I may be able to sell trios. 6. Buyer pays for shipping before birds are shipped. Birds will be shipped upon arrival of payment, consider the shipping charges will be between 50$ and 60$ to cover the cost of shipping and the cost of the box before you order your birds.

5. These birds are not promised to be show quality by any means. Although these birds still have some filling out to do, i cannot guarentee that they will finish show quality. Through careful line breeding and proper culling anybody can acheive show quality birds, but if you are looking to start a serious breeding program for the purpose of showing, I cannot gaurentee that any of these birds will finish out show quality. I do not weigh my birds at the moment, seramas are about more than size.

Thank you for taking the time to read the rules of my sale, it is my hope that providing these regulations will allow purchasing these birds to be as buyer friendly and as convenient as possible, have a great day and happy shopping!

Well little Peanut is a proven stud!
I didn't put him with Amy until after she laid the first egg from this clutch.
I discovered that it can take 7 - 10 days for the rooster's sperm to reach the eggs,
so I realized that there was little chance that most of the 9 eggs were fertilized.
Two days ago she hatched out 2 babies, right on schedule. I just now took a photo.
Next time Peanut will be with her well before she starts laying so I'm expecting a big clutch.

austinhart123, I'm so tempted by your birds! I'll be down in LA June 30th through July 4th, but to be honest I really shouldn't be taking any more birds for now...

My trio is doing very well. I sold my gorgeous black/red/gold cockerel to an awesome home, and I still have one extra little cockerel left. Anyone in northern California want an adorable little serama cockerel? I'll post pictures of him sometime soon. He's got a fault in his comb because he damaged it when he was little, but he's probably A-sized (small guy!) and about six months old. Please PM me if any of you might be interested. He's very sweet, and white and gold with black spots and a green tail.

I also got four serama chicks that are now a little over two weeks old.

I'm so excited to see how they turn out! They're cuties and are currently in with my baby coturnix that were hatched with them. The coturnix are already bigger than they are, haha.

I think I need to go take pictures of my birds again so I can add to the pictures!

Here is my first ever hatched serama!

Born this past Monday it is just the tinest little thing and such gorgeous color. I can't wait to see what it turns out to be and exactly what color.

I also really like the frizzles a couple posts up.. total cuteness..
My Hoodlums are getting so 'big' . I need to take some current pictures! I posted some when they were the size of golf balls and only a few days old.

they have all feathered out. Can you tell if a rooster is going to have good type at 2-3 months? I am wondering if I should hang onto the little boy out of this hatch to breed back to mom? I guess if I posted a picture that might help huh?
