I use a dog kennel outside with a piece of furniture I modified for a house.

And indoors, I keep some of my chicks in a large storage bin with some chicken wire on top, and older chicks go in a C+C cage. (Go to guineapigcages.com and they have instructions on how to make them--they're easy, handy, a good size, and just perfect!)

Lol, thanks guys.
Seriously! I really want to know too! I'll keep you guys updated when it starts to put out feathers, hopefully I'll have my camera fixed by then.

I'm starting to wonder where I'm going to put all these chickens and I haven't even been to the Ohio Nationals yet.
But:
I need a girlfriend for Blue (crossing fingers that he has good type), maybe I can find one at the Ohio Nationals? I'm thinking he could use a couple of black pullets, maybe frizzled and silkied?

the third Saturday in March there is going to be a serama tabletop show in Cape Giradau MO in conjunction with the APA show. I'll post more infor as i get it.

Oh yeah! I wish I could just hop on a plane and go, but I live in Oregon and i don't have the money. I spent it all on chicken feed.

I love my serama's! Here are my newest babies. These guys hatched the end of June, first of July. I know there are a couple of pets in there, and they will be going soon, but right now, they are all still getting along, so they are still together. They are 4 1/2 months. Excuse the picture quality, their pen is covered so it is a bit shadowed in there and I realized I missed one pullet and never got a good shot of her. Here are some of my favorites though.

Don't know of any Serams for sale in New York, but many people on BYC sell hatching eggs and chicks. The shipping is not too high on them.

You can try Craigslist or a google search for Serama Breeders in New York. It may turn up something.

My Serama hen has started laying again!!!!
