I just picked up a trio of Seramas Friday when I took my son to get his rabbits. It's to cold outside here in East TN so I had to split my new brooder in half so I could keep them inside. My new brooder is 7' long by 2' wide by 2' high but is now cut in half so it's one 3 1/2' long brooder & one 3 1/2' Serama pen. I am feedin layer crumbles with a very small amount of Calf Manna mixed in, grit & oyster shell. I wormed them Sat. with Wazine & in 5 more days I will worm with Zimectrin Gold to get all the other worms. When I got them they were in a very small cage sittin on muddy ground. These are the tamest little birds, lol. Here are a few pictures.

Here are a few of the 14 chicks. Maybe you can help with the colors. I think the black and white ones are by my silkied roo Bo. If they aren't silkied they'll be split. I had the eggs separated but they climbed over the eggs, so I have no idea as to who's chicks they are. I'll have to use something taller next time so they can't get over.

I know what you mean about needing hens. I only have two that lay every other day. Those two are the mothers of these chicks.

They are pretty. I could be wrong but I don't think they are serama's, I believe they are oegb's. They have big white earlobes and their coloring both say oe to me... They look to be red breasted blues??

Hopefully someone with even more experience will chime in??

Honestly, that is what I was thinking too. I have OEGB's, one just like the two hens and I had a rooster that looked like that one. I really don't think they are Seramas. The body looks all wrong.
