I think you actually have a great little start with these guys! The two from the first set of pictures were no good, but I can't see anything that raises a red flag with any of these cuties. The black tailed buff cockerel looks pretty good when he stands up! I can't complain about any of these birds - you'll have to let them grow up and see how they turn out.

You only need to worry about the green legs if you are color breeding - some people actually have a personal preference for green because of the junglefowl heritage. I don't personally care to see the green legs in my flock and will not keep a green legged bird. Right now white is the only color accepted into the standard, if I'm current on my information. They are asking for yellow legs on the white birds. Also asking for yellow legs on the black birds.

Good yellow pads on the feet of the black will be a decent start for breeding. Blah, blah, blah! Good looking babies. You didn't do half bad afterall!

After seeing all these cute baby seramas I want more!!! I need to give away half my flock of other chickens so I can get more seramas. Since everyone seems to be having such awesome hatch rates...feel free to send me extra chicks.

I am wayyy behind in my hatching this year due to the fact that I can't seem to move the culls or extra roos anymore. Seems everyone is scared off by their size and need for heat because of the arctic winters we have here. I have found the best way to hatch serama eggs is with a broody hen, especially shipped eggs. My little godzilla has turned out nicely, his lobes which started out with a bit of white on them are now mostly red, he is staying super small and my gosh that boy is always standing proud! He now has his own flock of 3 ladies one in which is my 7-8 oz hen whom he doesn't mate with but protects her like he is her mother, the other 2 girls are class b hens. Here are a few pics of the hatchlings this year (only 5 chicks hatched and 4 are seramas, the other is a brown/red cochin). I just adore alll the pics of everyones gorgeous birds on this thread

This is my favorite pullet out of the bunch, she is about half the size of the rest and has some really neat lacing coming in

Better view of her pattern

The mama is actually one of my cochin crosses. She is such a good mama for her first time with chicks, I think thats why she is sticking with them for so long. I will definately keep ya posted on that little pullet, she is definately a keeper

def a keeper

I'd really like some input from the color gurus here...One of my boys from my Christmas Hatch has some very interesting coloration. At first I thought he might be a splash with red leakage, but I recently saw a color chart that had a picture of a Blue Pyle, something I didn't know existed before, and thought, Hmmmmm, could he possibly be a Blue Pyle? The father consistently throws blues, but "Precious" is a very light silver-blue with a few grey streaks, along with the red color. It would be really neat if he were a Blue Pyle (it just sounds so different), but I know the odds are that he's probably just an oddball mix of genes! But, I would really appreciate some feedback as to what he would be called! Pictures are unposed in the yard...

Thanks!
