Here are a couple of mine the yellow is from Othello and the greyish from Romeo. Hatched from Zoomummzy shipped eggs. 5 more are pipped

Lockdown for me is on Tuesday, day 18. Do you all know how positively nervous I am?? I might even ask my boss for Thursday off, (day 20) so I can hover over the incubator. I'm so scared I've screwed something up, but the incubator has be relatively even steven for the ride so far. I plan on candling Monday for the second and last time, then no more touchy for me!!

Just to be sure.... I've kept the humidity at about 45- 50%, mostly at 50% this whole ride, I turn the eggs by hand every 8 hours, and the incubator gets back to norm within 30 minutes each time. Now come Tuesday (Day 18) I jack up the humidity to 65-70? no more turning, and say my prayers, cross my fingers, cross my eyes, and do the hatching dance hourly, right?

This is my VERY FIRST hatch ever..... just my luck that I'm doing it with particularly difficult eggs...

But hey, I love a good challenge!!!

Just please, when I disappear from BYC next week in total discouragement... PM me once in a while???
Let me know there's life after a bad hatch??

Ive hatched these from my own. About time i got some pullets. lol I have some 40 plus hatching the 3rd and some more hatching the 14th

Oh I think there's 5 or 6 Serama, and 6-7 OEGB's.

Bobby- that baby looks like the little Australorps I just picked up to sneak under my broody Australorp hen! I need to get her off the nest.. She's not eating and drinking, so I"m hoping tonight she'll "hatch" her eggs.

Or at least she'll think so in the morning!!

I am prying Beep off her egg every afternoon for some R&R otherwise she would not leave that nest box. She does eat the food I give her in the nest box tho.
