thanks bro I love her too haha can't wait till she start laying some eggs in 3 more months I got a few male waiting to test out and see what they will throw

My 2 serama cockerels need to be separated because the one is trying to rape the other, and I don't think I'll be getting serama hens tell next fall, but I don't know . I have some 12 week old pulleys who at mature( squatting) do u think if I put 1-2 pullets in there they won't be lonely, I have brahmas, ee, australorp, barred rocks

So, this morning I had this:

My pullet Mama Cass, obsessed with getting into Elvis' carrier which is on top of their coop.

I came home to this:

Definitely the stink eye! Lots of pecking if I try to look under (there was nothing this am). Finally got her up enough to see and there are two eggs under her

Probably one of hers and one from Priscilla, who was also eyeballing the carrier a little before this.

And Elvis standing guard:

She's only 7 months old, should I take the eggs away? Or I do have some day old serama chicks, should I try giving her some? Would it break her broodiness or would she probably kill them? It's been in the hundreds, and I'm not sure if it's okay for her to stay in there. If she is truly broody, I'll just put the carrier, with her in it in an extra large dog crate (wire) that we have that has mister coverage on the porch. I've never had a broodie before!

What would you guys do?

Oh, here's a few of the babies

To everyone worried about me giving the sick bird to the wrong person...

I am trying to find a home prederably where he is the only chicken in the household and will stay that way. I have a local friend who is considering keeping him as a house chicken who has never had chickens before. I'm definitely not keeling him. I also am not handling him at all until last and I change my shirt and scrub my arms and stuff if for some reason I have to handle the others again and such.

I came home this evening and it's down was more fluffy and clean and wowser. It's exactly what I expected a chocolate to look like.

Late last night, this chick was hatched, a full sibling to the chick above. It may change a bit more by tomorrow. I don't know if this one is chocolate?

And, here is my most typey chick so far, another chick by Blu-T. It's very upright and such a cocky chick.

There is another Blu-T chick hatching now, it looks dark but they all look that way till they dry off. I can hardly stand the excitement and I have a lot more Truffles eggs to hatch. I really want to see some chocolate chicks by T-Roo and not out of Truffles so I can feel comfortable that he is a split for chocolate rooster.

I just had to deal with this with one of my large fowl who wouldn't leave the nest... I got some good advice from fellow BYC'er for next time, like take her out fifteen minutes each morning to eat, drink, and poop, before you let her back in.
