I was asking everyone on the thread, but I do appreciate the info. I knew you could breed father to daughter, but didn't know you couldn't breed brother to sister..learn something new every day.

We just had some chicks here hatch also..

..all the hens decided to go broody pretty much at once. lol

I do have some 3 week old chicks, but I only have one black and white photo of them. So today I will get more and post them on here..

First are the 6 (2-3 day olds) that hatched from my hen Ellie. 3 eggs were hers, and 3 eggs were from my other Serama hen.

Chick 1 & 2 are both light with just little bits of light brown on their wings. Chick 3 has the lighter chipmunk striping. Chick 4, if you look right above his left eye, has a small splotch of brown. Chick 5 and 6 are both black with some white. And I promise chick 6 doesnt have a problem with his legs, he was just stepping to the side.

Then here are the 2 chicks (2 day old and 4 day old) my modern game hen is raising. Chick 7 was late hatching and was getting interrupted during his hatching process with his siblings stepping on him. So I moved him with the modern game hen to hatch under. She did though hatch chick 8.

About chick 7, this is the first time I have hatched this color and I am very interested to see if anyone else has had any chicks this color? What color did they end up looking like as they were older? The photo doesnt show it, but his lighter feathers have a silvery/blue tint to them. Chick 8 just has the black around the eyes, and a splotch of brown on his head.

Today is photo shoot day, so I will be posting some more pictures including those of the chicks, breeding pen, and the sale Seramas. I have one trio right now from an April 1st hatch that I am planning on selling.
