My roo was a late bloomer. Its not the breeders fault. It just happens sometimes.

Ohh it wldnt be a matter of not loving him .. It's a matter of keeping peace with my DH .. He's not a chicken person . So the fact of having two Roos is pushing it .. There won't be room for 3 of them .. I have bantam Cochins also..

This is a bad pic, but you can see 2 mottled chicks in it. They (I have 1 of each sex) are the 3rd and 4th chicks from the right. Sorry, this is the only pic I have of them as babies. The 3rd from the right is a side view, the 4th from the right is a back view.

For comparison on the markings, here's a pic of some black mottled cochin bantams (black and white ones), they are the only other black mottled birds I have.

ETA: Most of my serama at least carry mottled but these are the only 2 that 'are' mottled.

Just an FYI, if anyone was wondering the color of the chick on the far right (black with white face and 'eyeliner') he/she is black.
