Frasier is an almost 4 month Cayuga.
Today I noticed him standing on one foot two separate times. So we caught him and took some pictures.
There was a small cut on the L foot and it's not even visible in the photos which may have been the source. But I noticed the spots and it's the age old question on this forum:
Are these normal calluses or something I should worry about?
I'm about to run to tractor supply to get the Veterycin and if they have any other antibiotics.
I have Epsom salt and a bunch of hibiclens as well.
They nest on pine shavings and during the day wander the property as they wish. They have access to a pool with water changed twice daily (the pekins haven't allowed them in the pond yet).
Any and all help is appreciated.
Also tomorrow I will be taking a picture and documenting each of the 5 ducks feet to check for similarities etc

Well what kind of terrain are they on when free ranging? we live in the mountains of Western NC with more rocks than the law allows and so far I have only had one duck get bumble since 2004. It's really hard to let them free range and fix the area so it's soft and nothing to step on that could injure a foot. I do make sure there aren't brambles and thorns to get into their feet.

Almost entirely grass that's pretty soft and cut regularly. Some gravel areas and a few rocks near the pond but definitely not anything rocky.
And fine pine shavings/pool in their current pe (the pekins have the larger pen/coop that's gravel and shavings inside the coop but haven't integrated the two factions yet).

It just seems some are just more prone than others, when I first got my salmon Faverolles [chickens] those poor hens had bumble continually their first year out running with the flock , I'd get it healed up and it would be back thankfully their feet toughened up and haven't had bumble since they are now 5yrs old. Hopefully the same will happen with your Cayuga.

Gotcha.
I'll have to check the other 4 ducks feet tomorrow and assuming their similar/ not bad looking ill just treat them all with a vetericyn/ Epsom soaks if I see anything
