I’m so glad you commented cause I know you have them! I’m surprised at #5 cause I ordered a black sex link but I left the one I thought was it inside. Maybe they sent 2 of those! For the pictures you posted today, I'm going to go ahead and make some guesses (based on my experience with Ideal EEs and OEs). I'm just going to number them based on your posts from today.
#1 EE
#2 OE
#3 OE
#4 EE
#5 might be black sex link or maybe even one of their newer OEs. She has the coloring of my Onyx OEs
#6 EE
Hmm. Do they look similar? I love a fun mystery!I’m so glad you commented cause I know you have them! I’m surprised at #5 cause I ordered a black sex link but I left the one I thought was it inside. Maybe they sent 2 of those!
No the one I think is a black star is all black and has black and whiteish legs.Hmm. Do they look similar? I love a fun mystery!
Ok you’re the second one to say that! I think you guys might be right!I would be that the two yellow legs are your OEs and 4 green legs are your EEs
I spent a lot of time training my dogs so they'd be good around the chickens.2 years from start to finish but it was worth itI will only have 1-2 brown leghorns so hopefully they do ok. I’m adding another 45 sqft to my run this weekend so I’ll have about 160 sqft for 9 chickens. Hoping that’s enough for the couple of birds that like to fly around. I do let them out to run the big yard when I’m home at night and sometimes in the morning but we have 2 dogs that would have them for dinner if they got the chance. I’m fearful they’ll fly over the fence and the dogs will get their chance so I don’t let them free range longer than an hour a day.
1 hatched Thurs and 3 on Friday. The 5th I slipped under her after it dried. It hatched in the incubator the same day she came off the nest (Saturday) All of her chicks are doing great!I saw a baby chick poking its little head out from underneath the broody hen yesterday but I didn't disturb her or lift her off the nest so I don't know how many chicks have hatched yet.The cats keeping the incubator warm
