I’m so glad you commented cause I know you have them! I’m surprised at #5 cause I ordered a black sex link but I left the one I thought was it inside. Maybe they sent 2 of those!

No the one I think is a black star is all black and has black and whiteish legs.

Ok you’re the second one to say that! I think you guys might be right!

Editing to add, THIRD person to say that. I just looked at WingItRanch’s comment again and it says yellow legs are OEs.

I feel good about keeping those now!

I will only have 1-2 brown leghorns so hopefully they do ok. I’m adding another 45 sqft to my run this weekend so I’ll have about 160 sqft for 9 chickens. Hoping that’s enough for the couple of birds that like to fly around. I do let them out to run the big yard when I’m home at night and sometimes in the morning but we have 2 dogs that would have them for dinner if they got the chance. I’m fearful they’ll fly over the fence and the dogs will get their chance so I don’t let them free range longer than an hour a day.

I spent a lot of time training my dogs so they'd be good around the chickens.2 years from start to finish but it was worth it

I saw a baby chick poking its little head out from underneath the broody hen yesterday but I didn't disturb her or lift her off the nest so I don't know how many chicks have hatched yet.The cats keeping the incubator warm

1 hatched Thurs and 3 on Friday. The 5th I slipped under her after it dried. It hatched in the incubator the same day she came off the nest (Saturday) All of her chicks are doing great!
