male ducks like roosters?

im going to get ducks soon and i really want a male because they're gorgeous. I just wanted to know if they are less friendly if they make noise and if their just mean, like the stereotypical rooster? thanks

Male ducks are much quieter than the females. They have a quiet raspy quack.

I haven't had any problems with mean drakes, but then, I raise mine as livestock and not as house pets, so I don't see much difference in behavior between the males and females.
