Male ducks what to do

I have two Pekin drakes,one I believe is part jumbo,or is jumbo,and use to be the most attractive guy in town,had all the ladies following him,quacking for him etc.2015 spring I got two ducklings,one turned out to be a drake.He was punished,raped,bitten it was TERRIBLE.His mate was also raped at least 66 times a day.

Well,after about 6 months of age they were successfully accepted into the flock (But still had been shewed occasionally.)Well after those few months of being with the flock,the drake begin fighting,not for position,I think for ladies,because its 2016 now and were on to summer now,it has gotta stop,a year fighting.They cannot mate in front each other,hens can hardly favor just one male,otherwise they begin blocking one another from her,or they punish each others mates.This got even worse when the young drakes mate got killed,he really didn't have anybody to flirt with,mate with or anything.So,he continue to compete.After about 7 or 8 months he realized he could only win a few fights,and now it's just a fight occasionally that only last a few seconds,either that or he'll be able to run the drake off from mating (They bicker back and forth on that chasing each other off).The younger drake stands no chance against Jumbo man.His chest was bare from fighting all the drakes in the yard (We got rid of the three mean wardens.)He rarely faught The Wardens because they were just a bunch tough outsiders who had each others back,and could rape anybody they felt the need to.

Maybe I should get rid of someone or just get separate pens.

I recently got a flock of 4 females and 2 male anconas. One came to me with a limp and a leg that swings out that I originally thought had happened in transport, but after my other 3 females started getting a similar sway to their walk, I decided it was probably from over mating. My males will get rough and both go after one girl in the water and I was afraid of them drowning a duck. I've only had these ducks a few weeks, and about a week and a half in I decided to separate the males from the females until I figured out my ratio issue.The males were in a dog run within my females yard, and at night they stayed in two separate stales in my barn. A few days ago though, the males got into a small pecking fight, not too bad, and the girls started mating with eachother! I was considering selling a male, but they seem to be good friends despite the one fight, so I decided to get more females instead. I got 3 Khaki girls yesterday and will be getting 2 Cayuga girls this weekend. So will have 9 females to 2 males. Since I had to use the run for the new ducks, the drakes were allowed back with their girls and it hasn't been so bad today. I've only seen one drake per duck instead of double teaming. I noticed one issue seemed to arise from the drakes being defensive of the kiddie pool, so I got another pool as well.

So it sounds like you just have the two drakes now after getting rid of the wardens? The older one and the more recent grown-up duckling? How many girls? If you want to keep both, I'd suggest separation to begin if that's not too complicated. Separation can be as simple as splitting the current enclosure in two with chicken wire or building another run side by side. And maybe separate your flock in two to give him company, or get him a new mate. Figure out if there are any other factors causing aggression, such as the protectiveness of the pool for me. Having the two pools has really seemed to help my situation the last couple days. You can try separation for just a couple weeks to see if that helps, or maybe you'll have to do it for the rest of the "hormonal" season.

I am still learning duck behavior, but maybe if you separate the flock in two for the rest the season, maybe they'd establish their own groups and could be brought back together next season in peace?

The younger two pekin drakes were there WAYYYY before the Wardens were.But,when that "Click" came,things got even worse (The ducks would run off frighten to deal with the rape and abuse from the wardens.And the drakes were way too scared to fight the click of 3 drakes.

I'm considering giving one male three females,and the other 3 as well,or just sell one.

I get a lot of this behaviour,but i'm afraid one day somebodies either gonna get drowned,or injured (They can break eachothers necks.)

I do have a small dog pen,but not big enough for 4 ducks.I love the ducks and enjoy watching em,but man the youngest man has gotta change his tude.

But I am not gonna put all the blame on him,Jumbo pekin seems just as aggressive (His real names Sparta.)The youngers name is Mr.peepers.
