Male/Female and what breed???

Wow- 100's of different breeds!! That would have been like walking into a candy store for me! How could you pick out just 4?? I have no willpower

lol!! I only went to buy 2 as have never had chickens before so wanted to see how we got on!!! (It was mega hard to pick out 4!!!) But the 4 I have are fantastic and I love them to pieces and I love chickens so much I have just put 26 fertilised eggs in an incubator lol!!

Yep- Time to start building a bigger coop. Its amazing how much your carpentry skills improve with chickens!

My husband is getting excellent at building stuff for my chickens

he has now built 2 runs (very large ones) altho they prefer walking round my garden and on the decking and come to think of it in the house too lol!! A massive coop/house that will fit at least 20 chickens in and he is about to start another coop/house
I have got 14 gold silkies, 6 minature white silkies and 6 large white silkies and cant wait for them to hatch!! Then it will be deciding what ones to hatch next!! Any ideas what are the best breeds for children to handle and that dont fly too high as only have 7 foot fences lol!!

Good man!!
My neighbor has two Silkies, funny little things. When we throw a treat down in front of them they let out a "GGGGAAWWKKK!!!!". Not just the first time, but everytime we toss a treat down. At first I was'nt that fond of them but they have grown on me.

I stand corrected... if the 'breeder' didn't indicate what she sold you, I'd believe they're barnyard mixes. Either way, they still lay eggs.
