Our gander is fully committed to hatching our girls' eggs! My mom is worried about him and if he's going to be able to do it for the girls? Our friend thinks he's a transsexual goose, where he's a male but sometimes thinks he's a female? I don't know but I'm assuming he'll be fine! Hopefully our American buff isn't the only "modern day dad" out there.

I've had a chicken do this before. It is quite interesting.

However, I know that wild geese are known for this as well.

Getting ready to incubate some Sebastopol eggs (3) in a mini Eco self turn incubator. Read an older post that suggested spraying the eggs with water and allowing a hour cool down daily. Read conflicting views on this topic so am totally confused. Any new advice would be appreciated.

Geese share the duties of nesting so thier partner can forage dor food. Some ganders are just more commited to the task than others. Best wishes!
