male mallard lays egg

I have a male mallard that lays eggs. What happen. We put him in a pen to his self. because all the other ducks were picking on him. We come to find out he lays eggs. he looks like a male.

Can you post a good pic? Maybe its not a male Mallard at all. Hmmm, whats the name of that other duck...looks sorta like mallards!?? Might be one of those too!

Yes, please do post a pic if possible. I am intrigued. I have Rouens, and I'd love to see this. Certainly it can't be male. Does it have a solid green head? My girls are developing beautiful wing coloration, but their heads aren't colored.
