...& figured out how to walk on those big'ol feet. ...
Thats the case, he looks like he is still trying to figure out how to walk properly on those legs. He loves to run together with his mate but then he gets tired and he has to lie down. Sometimes he looks like a small kid wearing his dad's shoes and trying to walk in them.

I notice you're in Greece..... if it's pretty warm/hot... that will also wear him down quicker. Cooler days and he will be up and running more. Our summer here was horrid.... HOT and unusually dry. My boys laid around panting under the trees or sitting in pools a good part of the day. It won't hurt to give him a bit more protein... Scovies can handle pretty high protein levels & if they are out foraging and eating grass and greens that will offset it. I was really worried about two of my boys this summer... sounding just like yours.... and they are hale and hearty now with no leg issues.

Every drake I have had goes through this, when I first saw it I thought for sure something was wrong with their legs, they walk lay down walk lay down. It's normal.

Well, it's not that hot here at the moment. It's autumn and we already started lighting a fire in the fire place in the evenings. That means about 72 F at midday and about 55 F at night. But even in the summer we don't get that hot here that we live.

That's quite a relief to hear!
