I have a tiny little five week old Serama and I was wondering if anyone can tell what sex it is at this point. Thanks!

Aw man, was hoping it was a hen. City ordinance says I can't have roosters and my kids are SO attached to it. :( The little thing loves people and follows us everywhere.

As long as it doesn't crow very loud, maybe you can keep him.
Cities usually don't like the crowing. You will be able to keep him until he starts crowing.
Maybe he'll never crow very loud and you'll be able to keep him?

Boy, I sure hope he's not loud. A friend of mine has a Serama rooster and he says he has a tiny little crow--not very noticeable. I guess I will just wait and see. I wonder at what age this breed starts to crow?

Thanks to everyone who answered my post!

He's definitely a cockerel. My city has the same thing, but it's just the crowing they care about. My neighbors have a roo and they bring him in at night (put him in a dark room) and take him out in the morning. No problems yet and not much crowing

Thanks, BantamLover and Cyan, I appreciate the feedback/advice! Great idea to bring a rooster in at night and take out in the morning.
