Male or female silkies?

Bats is definitely a cockerel. Qwerty too, probably. Red leakage, especially that red, is typically a male indicator. And perhaps Vader, since it appears to be bearded and has obvious wattles. Meeva looks like a (non bearded) pullet. Those are my guesses anyway.

Silkies are one of, if not the most, difficult breeds to sex. We will need more than a side shot of the bird sitting down. Get a straight on comb shot, a side profile shot (of the bird standing, in a natural position) at minimal. The more pics the better. And we still may not be able to say.

All mine, meeva, Vader, qwerty are females. Just had one if their eggs hatch this morning - crossed with a frizzle cochin

I am hearing lots of clucking but no crow so far.
