So my 2 Pekin ducks Peep and Nibbler, I’ve been trying to determine if they are male or female. I don’t really trust myself just yet to turn them upside down to vent check them
Nibbler, the one with the bow legs. Is much bigger than Peep. He’s more laid back and never quacks. More chirps and grunts and his tail feathers are more broad at the end

Peep is smaller, more quick and agile and feisty. And quacks loudly all the time. Her tail feathers taper to a point
Anyone that can help me out with this?

Ducks will quack and drakes will make a low pitched raspy noise, they start this at around 6 weeks of age.

I've had many that age go peep, peep,QUACK which indicates she is a female, males at that age will be mostly be quiet and make a few raspy peeps until they are a few weeks older then they will start to sound like a bad smoker. Most likely if the other one doesn't start quacking soon its a male.

I just saw you said they have bowed legs, are you administering B complex for treatment?

yes and it’s been helping him A lot. His legs have straightened out immensely. They were quite literally sideways when I got him

He is still unsteady on his feet and sits down a lot, but he used to be able to take 2-4 steps before he would have to sit for a few minutes. Today he was running for the first time ever.
