This is kind of a long shot and I’m not sure if I am posting this in the right forum. I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea of what gender my ducks may be ? I know it’s not going to be accurate but I would love to hear suggestions. I read that male and females have quack differences. Where males have a raspier voice and females have a loud voice. They both sound like they would be male, but I know that drakes have a curled feather at the end of their tail and they both have straight forward tales. (Their tales look like that even when they are not wet) I will attach some pictures. They aren’t the best because I had to screenshot them from a video!

Hi there. How old are they?
Most likely around 7-7 1/2 weeks !

About 7 - 7 1/2 weeks, sorry for the double reply !
No worries, technology lol.

It’s far too early to tell yet whether male or female. It’ll be a few months yet. I had a female that I was sure was a drake based on voice. She still whispers compared to the others so I don’t think voice is always a great indicator.

Oh okay! Thanks for the information :) I guess it’ll be a surprise then !

The sound difference is not just a volume. Drakes are more raspy. They also peep longer than girls. That would be hard to tell if they are the same gender. The drake curls, if they get them, will not appear for a couple more weeks.
