Male or female??

I need help .. So I bought 6 unsexed chicks and we have no idea what they are ..3 of them have very red combs three have pale pink combs .. They are brown in color mostly and maybe a little bit of white ...? Is can hens have combs as well ? That are red ..I'm so confused some of the breeds I looked up show that they do...any suggestions?!:/:/

Pics, pics, pics! Descriptions aren't good enough. We need photographs. Also, generally, the youngest you can sex chicks is 5 weeks.

Welcome to BYC - I would suggest you take and post some photos of each of your birds. As it sounds like they are fairly similar in appearance it will be helpful if you assign them letters, numbers, names or colors so that as you post photos you can label them and we can know when we are looking at different birds or multiple photos of the same birds. You will also want to include their approximate age as that factors into the different characteristics that we will see and whether that would mean male or female.

Ok so this is spongebob ... Not really cooperating with me on the photo shoot but at least it's a better pic of the face ...I will have to get them outside to get better lighting ...these brownies are appromix 8 weeks old...the last photo is that of one of the three I have that look different from sponge bob and two others.

All are roosters besides the last photo. Thats a pullet.

The last one looks like a hen but the others totally look like roosters.
