John Henrys mate Miss Tweety passed away yesterday. I want to wait a couple weeks before I introduce a new friend.
I would like to put another male with him. Can somebody tell me if thats possible after being mated to a female?
John Henry is the green Miss tweety is the blue.

I used to have two males they sometimes fought, so I'd keep an eye on them. I think it would be okay though.

Thank you so much I do appreciate the info I am hoping the cage he is in is 6’ talli and 3’ wide that will be pretty good for 2 after his is quarantine period.

The cage is big enough for 2, but not for 3.
My mothers boys are fine when it is time to have them seperated into male and female cages prior to breeding season. Some form best bro relationships, that they return to after breeding season.
she has been breeding show budgies for many years and currently has about 100, used to have up to 300 when she was younger.

That's a really nice setup. Back when I was breeding budgies, I kept about a dozen mixed sex birds in a cage that size, with no issues. You should be fine, just keep an eye on them.

Sorry but I would call a dozen budgies in a cage like that overstocking.
