male pekin hurting buff hen???

My male pekin duck ferdinan......has been mounting my buff hen sophie. Should i be worried he is going to hurt her?? I have 3 males and 2 females. and he dosent pay any attention to my blue sweed hen Lulabelle. Should i sperate them??

I'm not that sure but it sounds like a normal mating thing but you might want to consider getting more females if you have only two with 3 males.

i no that he is mating her.......but he is So big.....and i didnt know if he was hurting her that way...

It is possible for a big over aggressive drake to hurt a hen, but there is more likelihood of multipledrakes trying to breed the hen causing injury. I would separate out two of the drakes and leave one with the hens. Gang breeding by drakes can cause drowning or serious injury to hens.
