does anybody know when male japanese quail start to crow ???

The 6 week old one I bought was crowing.

Mine started at 3.5 weeks and haven't stopped. And they are LOUD. Their parents barely make a peep.

I have 3 "dueling roos" that have a competition going on. I had a hard time trying to convince my neighbor that nothing unusual was going on in my garage. I am tempted to hatch some bobwhites just because I like the way they crow.

Our two roos were about 2 weeks old when we got them, we heard a few crows starting at 3.5 weeks and by 4 weeks they were crowing consistently.

Mine didn't start until about 6-7 weeks old. I love the way it sounds. Far more musical to me then chicken roosters.

Or that's how it hear it. It doesn't sound like they're pronouncing "co-tur-nix" to me. lol
