Had anyone ever had a male ringneck pair with 2 females? I caught my male mating with my other dove that I am fairly positive is a female. I put another nest in to see if she will lay eggs. Just wondering if this is really possible or if mine are unique. I only have a one male and 2 females. No other doves. I currently have one female sitting on eggs.

I have never raised doves, but have had pigeon cocks mate with more than one female. In these instances, one hen was the primary mate and he would help brood and feed their young but would not do the same with the secondary mate.

I would be tempted to incubate and hand raise the other one but they have to have the crop milk from the parents. Thats not fair to the female. I am going to ave to get her a mate.
