Hi I am getting some quail and a guy has been selling japense quail pairs is that fine or do I need more females

Yes, hi demand for king quail and jap quails fo if I can start selling fertile eggs I can extend more and get more enclousres increase my duck/chicken flock etc

I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but 15 dollars is a LOT for regular coturnix. I have never bought any more expensive than 4 dollars, and I have bought as low as 2 dollars before. I would check craigslist, Facebook marketplace, and call your local feed/hardware stores, and ask them If anyone is selling.

It really depends on where you are. I live in one of the most expensive areas in the US, and my hens were selling so fast at $7 each that I raised the price to $15. I still can't keep up with the demand.
