Male turkey turns female

So we hatched an egg that we found in the woods and turned out to be a Spanish black or Norfolk black.
With help from this site/forum we got the temperature and humidity levels just right. And so it hatched and now 6 months old the turkey we thought was a Tom for the last 3~4 months now turns out to be laying eggs.
Thus we have a hen with the first egg at 6 months old. Thank you for all your help to whomever posted all the right info.
