males to females?

I am picking up three trios of quail next week but keep reading that one male to two females is the wrong mix and as I will be putting 3 males and 6 females into the same cage I dont want bloody murder going on.

Will my numbers be OK or should I spend more money I havnt got and get a few more females?

Do you have to get the ratios your stating? I would just get 5 females and 1 male...thats still 6 quail and the ratio will be great.
