So, I came home from school, and at our pond I thought I saw some ducklings. I saw them a few feet from a male mallard. Later on, I saw them again. The mallard swam away BEFORE the 'ducklings' got in the water. They followed the mallard… my dad HATES geese (They're dirty and poop all over the ground, and are noisy) I kinda wanna see if they are goslings, and help them. They are real cute and I would feel bad if there was a single gosling all alone trying to survive by itself.
Should I rescue them and keep them as a pet?

Hmmm, male mallards don't take care of any babies, even mallard babies. Goslings are very large even when young. They were probably baby mallards and mom was probably nearby or going to be back soon. Besides, if they're wild birds, it will be illegal to keep them. I would let nature take its course unless they are hurt or in immediate danger.

They are goslings, they hiss at you, which happened last time. We found out there are 3, we rescued one and made a good home for him overnight. We are planning a mission to save the others.
