Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
my 6 mallard ducks i bought off line will be here april 4th...3pullets,3males.....excited...

That's going to be too many males for that amount of females.

If you are planning on keeping them all, I'd call and see if you could change your order.
