I raised a wild mallard hen and shes very tame now and she goes into the coop every night. She usually flies for like 5 minutes straight but i can see where she goes, well today she went away for a long time, shes back now though. Do you think she got bred? It was the warmest day of the year so far at about 50 degrees.

Hmmm, she might have, but usually the male will follow the females around when they get attached to her. Has she be calling for males a lot lately?

It sounds like they're laughing and it's very loud.

I know of a wild mallard hybrid that loves to have the attention of the boys. She has 5 males follow her around all the time. If she goes anywhere out of sight, they call for her.

Hmm. When she does it, its kind of subtle and is more like putting. Is what your talking about when they have sort of a whiny quack like 6 or 7 each time getting shorter?

Though the video isn't great, you can hear the "laugh" as the girl films the ducks at her lake. At first, you will see some gadwalls, but the call is from a mallard:

Here's another one (ignore the humans laughing, too
