Mallard or Rouen duckling?

I was wondering if there’s any way to tell the difference between a Rouen and Mallard duckling? I picked up one from TSC a few days ago and can’t exactly figure it out which it is myself!

Its a rouen. Rouen ducks have 2 face markings while mallards have 1. What a cute duckling!!!

Here are some pics of what I was told were mallards but now I am thinking maybe rouens? This was last year when I got them from TSC. Leonard is on the left and Squiggy is on the right.

Well let me show you. Some of the pics are from the fall/winter when Leonard was still dressed in his pretty colors. He is in eclipse now, poor fella doesn't have his curl feather right now. Squiggy is my cranky duck and hates the phone or camera and does whatever she can to not be photographed.

Yep, those are Rouens.

You know I thought so at one point when they were younger and my husband told me I was nuts. Now I might just be but they are Rouens. My first clue was the size of Leonard. He is a big ol boy!
