Mallard or Rouen?

I know Malards have a stripe and a dot and the Rouen has two stripes, but what if it's got one solid line and line below that's disconnected in the middle?

I think the mallards are smaller

Mallards are smaller. I Have two rouens and a mallard but I need to know what this is. I've read about it before I just don't remember.

the only way to tell is to have a comparison when its that young ...try to find a purebred mallard or rouen and compare

I've seen both breeds with this type of eye stripe.

I'd base it more on size. Mallards are going to be a lot smaller than rouens, even at a few days old.

Well the purebread mallard we have that is almost the same days old is much tinier than our pure rouen of the same age, so I'd have to go with Rouen on this one. Thank you, everyone.

Actually, will a mallard be smaller than ALL ducks?? We have a welsh harlewuin, 2 khaki cambell, black swedish, and pure rouen and the mallard is smaller than all them. Like half their size and they're all only about 3 days old.

Not all ducks but all of your duck breeds. They only weigh about 2-3 lbs when grown.

The only thing smaller than a mallard is a Silkie duck, Call duck, and an East Indies duck.
My mallard had the broken stripe and I know of rouens that have had it as well.
