Well Jet the "Mallard" duck is now 14 weeks old. He has molted the last couple weeks and now has his green head. BUT none of the other mallards (6 others) are or have molted. They are all still small and have the female looking feathers. We have at least 3 other males but none with green heads. Plus he is larger that the others. Could he possibly be a Rouen? Or is he just larger due to being mass produced from a hatchery?
Thanks for looking :)

Nope no white ring. He was also all black as a baby, so he didnt have the typical Mallard baby look but as he grew he was identical to the other mallards .
Well no matter he is beautiful in his new plumage. I guess you know you'll have to keep 1 wing clipped if you want to keep them home.
