She is acting differently. We have a few other ducks, and when the male was there, they all stuck together, but now that he's gone, she doesn't stick to the group as tightly as before. She was also very inactive for a couple days right after he went missing.
 




I have four mallards, one gray mallard drake, one crested gray mallard hen, and two snowy mallard hens.
 
These are the ducks that started it all. This wild mallard hatched her ducklings in our yard. This was their first outing in our pond. After seeing this I got bit with the duck bug and it was all over.
