Mallard Voice Sexing

Does the rule apply that only females quack? I have 2 and one never talks and the other quacks alot.

Yes, All mallard and mallard dirived breeds will quack if female- unless of course their is some other underlying health issue. Muscovy are the ones that this rule does not apply to. You didnt say how old your were - I can usually start to hear a change in the voice at around 3 weeks- but sometimes I am not 100% certain by voice alone until they are even 6- 8 weeks sometimes.

I've got 4 Mallards, my 3 girls quack and my Drake has the raspy peepy kind of talking. They tickle the stuffing out of me when one wanders off for a minute then returns...they all stand in a circle making a racket that actually sounds like they're all laughing about something.
