Malpositioned embryo and air cell help

How well were the eggs packaged? Has your temperature stayed constant throughout incubation so far (temp fluctuations seem to be a big reason for bloodrings forming)?
I wonder if your egg seller sold you eggs that were older than they led you to believe? Perhaps they were mishandled before you even received them?
Also, a long shot I know, but maybe a small piece of yolk has broken off and this is what the embryo is attaching to??
Keep us posted - this is an odd one!

The eggs were bubble wrapped and placed in a crush proof tin. Purchased from reputable breeder but I certainly can’t rule out mishandling during shipping. Air cells are reasonably small hence I doubt they are very old. They sat in the tin for about 3 days inclusive of shipping before I received them. Except for small smears of poop on a couple, they’re were in pristine condition, not even a tiny crack on any egg.

Incubator temp 99.5 to 100F, humidity averages 45%

To add on, of 17 eggs received only 9 developed with 1 currently looking like it’s dying if not already dead and only 1 or 2 developing closer to normal.

I’ve had a reasonably successful staggered hatch in the incubator within similar temperature and humidity ranges.

Update: the embryo has detached from the fat end and is now sort of floating in the middle of the egg

It’s day 17 and I got a shocked while candling.
I candle every day and was pleased with how the air cell was enlarging towards the fat end and how active the embryo was. This clear area showed up today. Embryo is still alive but barely moving. What’s going on now?

I have my hatching eggs by mail and let them sit pointy end down for 24 hours before setting them. Not sure what to do about an air cell in the middle , sorry. Interested to see the outcome

Are these chicken eggs? If so, it could be that the chick is now nearing the time to hatch and so movement is slowing down. There are still veins so this is a good sign that the chick remains alive inside.
I'm not sure if it will be able to position itself correctly to hatch with the air sac where it is, but by keeping it upright, you're doing the best you can for it.
Once it has externally pipped, I would then lay it down to finish hatching to give it the longest time possible to get positioned correctly.
