It's day 20 and I have two eggs hatching! The darker brown one with the most progress looks like it's coming out the wrong end! Will it come out ok? Will I need to assist it?

I would say no assist for 3 reasons. First, it's under a broody, and she's better at this than you will be. Second, It's beyond a pip and moving towards a zip, and this is a good sign. Lastly, I'm not absolutely certain that is the wrong end. That egg looks almost symmetrical. I would lay the hen back down and sit on your hands for a while

I've had two chicks hatch on the wrong end, both hatched by themselves just fine
As long as they have a hole to breathe from, they can most likely get out themselves, even if it's on the wrong end, so I don't think there's a need to assist

Thanks guys! I see two beaks and chirping now! Only I have a new problem now. Whenever the chicks peep, she tries to attack the eggs! She's a new broody so I was half expecting this. I guess I'll be camping out holding her head up all night lol

I've heard that hens will sometimes eat some of the eggshell, but I don't have much experience with broodies. In fact, my first broody is just now sitting on a clutch of 10 eggs.
Maybe you should post this on the Broody Hen thread, someone there may be able to help you. It's a really active thread so you should get a response quickly if you ask there
