Mama tossing eggs

Hi everyone. I have two welsh harlequins sitting on nests side by side. Myself and both ducks are all first timers. They’ve been sitting for about three weeks and today i found two eggs about six feet away from nests. Both eggs had chips of shell missing with just the thin under skin of the egg showing. Inside were underdeveloped ducklings still with the yolk. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Both moms have about 10-13 eggs each. I’m hoping whichever mom tossed them knew they would not survive. Thank you

They are doing ok. Had a total of four ducklings hatch but unfortunately my drake killed one so now he is in a separate run from mamas and babies.

They push away the duds. Some ducks will actually actually eat the contents so be thankful that didn't happen
