We have 3 silkie hens who we use to hatch eggs. Hubby put 3 eggs under them and after the first hatched, they pretty much abandoned the other 2. After 21 days we candled them and found they were potentially viable so we brought them into our garage and put them under a heat lamp. It has been a few days and we were about to give up on them but they were cheeping! Not sure if we should help them at this point? And if so, how?

Go here to find answers... Others have been successful in your situation. The author of the thread is very knowledgeable of alternative methods. Last time I saw this problem the prime issue was humidity and someone suggested using vegetable oil or coconut oil to moisten the membrane--but I'm not the right guy to give advice other than looking at Sally's info or contacting her directly. The last person successfully hatched all her eggs. As a general rule you should not help them--but since you will definitely have a humidity issue there's probably some intervention necessary.
