Man! Can they FLY!

My pullets can catch some air if something startles them, or if they're trying to get around a hen by going over them. A few days ago I went to let them out for some yard time, and I guess the littles weren't expecting me, because 2 of them suddenly screamed and flew straight up, hit the run netting (a little over 6' up), managed to turn the corner while coming back down, and flew right out the open run gate.

I have quite a few bantams and I don't care what anyone says those little buggers can fly i found 5 of them 10ft up the tree this afternoon flying is the only way up their

100% agree on the impressive WL flight. Built a 6.5 foot fenced run and it keeps everyone in.

Except for the leghorns, who mock me by sitting on top of the fence and occasionally going on unsupervised adventures.

Our cream legbars occasionally get serious air as well. Similar birds I guess.
