Man drowns in pond being attacked by Swans!!!

Swans can literally pulp a fox with their wings. I feel sorry for the family. I suspect like in many stories there is more to this than it seems at first glance. Maybe he couldn't get out of the kayak, or his clothes got in the way, or that the swan broke a bone.

Swans are very nasty creatures and have been known to break a man's arm on dry land. In Britain they are protected and, though wild, all belong the the Monarch. That may say more about her than about the swans.

Many people underestimate Swans. Though they may be beautiful they can be nasty little suckers capable of anything.

So sad. The man must not have been a very good swimmer or something..

He also probably didn't want to harm the swans...so grabbing one and breaking its neck or something probably never even crossed his mind.

That's what my hubby said.
